Lonely Stray Puppy Injured in Accident, Rescued After 12 Hours of Struggle in the Cold

In the frosty reaches of Alberta, Canada, a precious puppy endured a severe pelvic injury. Tragically, she found herself immobile and facing bleak odds of survival in the subzero temperatures.

Fortunately, a group of compassionate teenagers stumbled upon her and promptly alerted the AB Task Force for animal rescue. The AB Task Force swiftly reached out to the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) to address the urgent situation.

As per AARCS, Nutmeg’s ordeal lasted for a grueling 12 hours in the bitter cold before she was discovered. Her body heat had melted the snow around her, leaving a trace that eventually led rescuers to her location. Upon spotting her rescuers, Nutmeg couldn’t contain her joy. At present, Nutmeg is on the path to recovery from her pelvic injury, but she must undergo six weeks of crate rest. During this time, she’ll be showered with affection, including treats, kisses, and soothing back scratches, all thanks to the caring folks at AARCS.
