Some people will do anything for a good photo or video. When you’re in Dubai, driving a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster will not help you stand out from the crowd.
The city is filled with exotics so one has to find a much rarer car to get attention. An Aventador Roadster LP720-4 50 Anniversario would be a much better choice, since we’re talking about a car built in a limited run. The car is powered by a 6.5L V12, and was tuned to produce 710BHP. Only 200 models were ever produced, 100 coupe versions and 100 roadsters.
But even if you drive a car like that in Dubai it’s not granted that people will come over and take a selfie with the car. But when said car catches fire at the traffic lights because the driver can’t stop revving it, people will definitely notice.
The yellow Lamborghini is driving on a busy road in Dubai, and eventually pulls up to a stop light. The car in front of her appears to be taking some kind of selfie with the Lambo behind him, and that’s when things all go to hell. The Lamborghini driver starts revving her engine while stopped, something that has proven time and time again to be a bad idea. It only takes a few revs before her car catches fire, and while the man filming this video is screaming at the driver to let her know what is happening, the ignorant Lambo owner takes that as a sign to rev even harder, making the situation much worse. In the video below you can hear people honking at her and screaming “FIRE” even while she keeps revving her engine. Eventually figured it out on the bridge as her sweet ride was consumed in flames.
Here’s the Instagram account for the woman who was driving the Aventador at the time.
Unfortunately, the car burned to the ground. One more exotic was lost to the Italian horsepower gods.
